Our Story

Founded in love,
driven by purpose.

Established in 2017 for the common good and hard at work in communities across the USA and Africa, Save Our Souls Foundation (SOS) was founded by Dr. & Mrs. Mary Mitchell to nurture and improve the quality of life of needy poor children.

They named the foundation in honor of children who are dying from preventable diseases — a solemn reminder that clean water, basic medicine, and a meal a day should never be out of reach.

What began as a single medical outreach in a rural Ghanaian village has grown into a movement spanning eight countries, with volunteers, healthcare workers, and educators walking alongside communities every single day.

"

We cannot save every child. But for the one we reach today, the entire world changes.

— Dr. Mary Mitchell, Co-Founder

I started giving $25 a month in 2019. Last summer I traveled to Ghana and met the children my donations were helping. I wept. This foundation does exactly what it promises — every single dollar shows up as a smile.

When my daughter Amara fell ill with malaria, the SOS clinic was the only medical help within 80 kilometers. They saved her life. Today she is nine, healthy, and wants to become a doctor herself.

I've volunteered with many NGOs. None operate with the transparency and humility of SOS. The Mitchells have built something rare — a charity that listens before it acts, and stays long after the cameras leave.

After my parents passed, SOS Foundation took me in, gave me a home, and put me through school. I am now studying nursing in Lagos. I exist because of them — and one day I will give back the same way.

Our company chose SOS as our annual charity partner because of their financial transparency. Every receipt, every report, every dollar — accounted for. They treat donor money like sacred trust. That's rare.
